Stoparound
Cookies & browser storage
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Stoparound does not use advertising cookies or a persistent analytics identifier. Browser storage is limited to preferences needed to make the service easier to use.
Cookie we use
- stoparound-locale — remembers the language you selected so the root URL can open in that language. It lasts up to one year and is a functional preference cookie.
Local storage we use
- Language preference — keeps the interface language consistent.
- Vehicle preferences — remembers fuel type, consumption, reserve, detour/drive-time preference and optional tank capacity on your device.
- Search mode — remembers whether you last used Nearby or On a route.
What we do not store
Stoparound does not store an analytics ID in cookies or localStorage. It does not use advertising, cross-site tracking or marketing cookies.
Managing storage
You can remove these preferences at any time by clearing Stoparound site data in your browser. Blocking functional storage may prevent preferences from being remembered, but the core search can still be used.
Consent banner
Because the current browser storage is limited to user-requested preferences and service functionality, Stoparound does not show a cookie-consent banner. If non-essential analytics, advertising or tracking technologies are added later, this policy and the consent mechanism will be updated before they are enabled.
